Women are a special group when it comes to promotional tactics. Is there a way and in which to get the attention of all women? How about most of the women? Some of the women?
Probably one of the cleverest promotional items I’ve seen is a lipstick pen. It looks like a stick of lipstick. When you remove the top, the color will be purple, burgundy, red or pink. Where you would ordinarily see the tip of the lipstick (the part you run across your lips) that’s where the writing tip of the pen is. It’s realistic enough that people will look twice, so it’s loads of fun. A must have for any purse carrying, make up wearing female. Your logo needs to fit in a space that is 1 inch wide and half an inch high. For the non purse carrying, non makeup wearing women; magnets. I don’t know a house in America that doesn’t have dozens of magnets on it. Make it fun, make it colorful or make it utilitarian (a frame with your logo around it; you punch out the middle for the picture) is a surefire way to get the attention of the person that will more likely than not spend time in the kitchen.
Plush, fuzzy, soft, stuffed animals never fail. If they don’t want it they’ll take it any ways; and give it to a friend or their own child. BTW, Teddy bears have not cornered the market on cute. They are however, probably in the top five. I’ve seen ‘seat belt pals’, little stuffed animals originally used to encourage children to buckle up. They wear little tee shirts, perfect for your logo, and serve as nice padding between the seat belt and its wearer. They come in nine different animals, and yes one of them is a teddy bear.
However, everyday items such as promotional paper products, pens and coasters can be just as useful.
