There is no end to the myriad ways in which one can waste time surfing the Internet. One of the most interactive aspects of the World Wide Web is the adult chat room. We are social creatures who almost instinctively want to reach out and form a bond with someone else, local or long distance, day or night. If you look hard enough you can find chat rooms that will take your money, but the beauty of the Internet is that most adult chat can be engaged in at no charge. While there may be chat rooms that are strictly of the “hook-up” variety, most chat rooms are actually pretty friendly places to go.

Even then, one would do well to drop the “name” of the person they are talking to in their chat message, lest the point be lost amid the clutter.

The idea may be that singles are getting together in online chat rooms, but there are very likely a good number of husbands and wives who like to live out their wild side vicariously in cyberspace. How many spouses would be overjoyed to find their marital partner in an adult chat room? Perhaps not many, but since most divorces are initiated by financial difficulties (as opposed to infidelity), adult chat might be preferable to such online havens as Amazon, e-Bay, or Overstock.
